Pulp Fiction ReArranged

I found this project very interesting because it was more or less about pulling apart the reason that Quentin Tarantino made the film in the first place. The title of the brief was RE, so I decided that I wanted to re-arrange the non-linear structure of 'Pulp Fiction' and put it back into a linear time-based format.

The film is split into four stories which, in the original, interlace and cut from one to another (Tarantino made the film because he was interested in crisscrossing story lines). I took the scenes from each of the four stories and 'stuck' them back together.

The reason behind it was to discover if the impact of the film was completely ruined by watching each story chronologically. However I was also interested in noticing links between the stories as some of the characters appear or are heard in stories which are not based around them.

I also spent time editing the DVD cover to incorporate my name and what I had done but not make it distinguishable from the original.
