DRUNKSHIP OF LANTERNS

The purpose of this montage is to illustrate the song 'Drunkship of Lanterns' by The Mars Volta in a way in which it could be viewed without music, but still let the viewer experience the same feelings and emotions that they would by hearing the track.

The album that the track is taken from is based on a book written by the lead singer about an old friend who committed suicide after recovering from a coma. This song comes at a point in time where the comatose patient is dreaming.

Several sources of research were used including a group survey and pieces written by the group and critics.
