April 2007 to Present: Freelance Designer

I have undertaken freelance work both straight to business, and through creative agencies, ranging from illustration and logo development to website and flash design. Time management and client/supplier relationship skills have been key learning points from these experiences.

November 2007 to September 2008: Junior Online Marketing Designer - Next

As a University placement student I was required to produce designs for external online marketing communications to aid the Next Directory in recruitment and sales. I also formed business relationships with several external agencies through recruitment, briefing, and critiquing of their creative output.

October 2007 to November 2007: Junior Designer - Line Digital

As a temporary University placement student I was required to work alongside the other designers to produce and update digital media for a range of clients.

I have a wide range of creative skills, however, my most recent work both inside and outside of university has been web/illustration based design and video work.

I am always striving to learn new skills and further develop my current ones. This includes the continual development of my knowledge of HTML and CSS, and a keen interest to learn Actionscript 3 and JQuery. I am competent in using the majority of the Adobe suite, although my main skills lie in using Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Premier, After Effects, and Flash. I am always on the look out for inspiration and I am a regular reader of design magazines and creative websites/blogs.

Other interests include music, films, and meeting people. I am a keen guitar player and make time to play and write my own music.
