2 New Logos Signed Off

Wednesday, September 9th, 2009

In the last couple of days two of my clients have signed off their new logos. This is quite exciting because now I can progress more rapidly with the rest of their branding and website designs!

1. Muddy Faces:

This is actually the second new logo for Muddy Faces. The first (which was widely preferred) provoked comments that implied the possibility offense being taken by certain ethnic minorities. The logo was by no means racist in any way, however, the decision was made to develop an alternative in order to completely wipe out the possibility of it being mistakenly interpreted.

2. Star Precision:

The client was very specific with this logo. The challenge of realising the exact image that was held in his mind was quite a challenging, but interesting process. The bold simplicity of this logo lends itself well to the engineering sector in which it will be used.

I’ve been freelancing full time now for about two months. I still haven’t decided whether I want to try and get a permanent agency job yet, but this is keeping me going for the moment…

Now, this is not their fault… they are busy running their own businesses, and even if their logos, or websites are really important to them, they can’t be instantly replying to me every time they get an email requesting feedback. It may even be that they need some time to mull over what they think, or decide how to explain it to me in a way in which they will get back exactly what they are picturing in their mind.

However, this poses me with a dilemma… What do I do in these times when I seemingly have nothing to do?… I obviously shouldn’t procrastinate, but it is very hard not to!
