My third year of University consisted of a placement which I undertook at Next PLC in Leicester as an online marketing designer.

Initially I was the only designer in the team and was required to work alongside agencies to design and build online marketing communications including email.

After the benefits of in-house design were realised, two more designers were taken on which enabled us to solely manage all external marketing objectives.

Following the completion of my degree I volunteered, along with a colleague, to design and build the showcase website and kiosk for our course. This required all students to submit their years work to us in order for it to be on display at the University of Huddersfield Digital Media Design final year show.

I designed all elements of the site as well as aiding the development.

I also designed and built an email newsletter to send to all the creative agencies in the area.

For my final year university project I chose to create an online sitcom called 'Work Mates'. It was a huge collaboration project consisting of two script writers, seven actors, a sound designer, and a photographer.

My aim was to create the full 18 minute pilot episode of the series and release it online. However, due to the enormity of the project, only the first scene was ever completed fully.

This project earning me a First Class degree.

This clean and simple one-page website was created to enhance the online presence of my mother's bookkeeping business.

Her original website, which was online for about 5 or 6 years, was the first non-personal project that I ever undertook.

This is the 7" vinyl cover design of a limited release single called 'Julie Andrews by an up and coming Scottish indie band called The Down & Outs.

The front features Julie Andrews sheltering under an Autumn tree and the back cover features the lone tree with no leaves.

The brief was basic, with only a couple of images, so I worked alongside the band's manager to create this artwork.

I initially sketched the scene in pencil and then used a graphics tablet to add the colour.

I was briefed to redesign the Pronuptia Sheffield website to include an online ordering system for eveningwear.

The site includes information and imagery on all the popular ranges, however when the 'Reserve & Collect' system goes live there will only be select pieces available for online hire.

Mac Imports are a large distributor of imported jewellery. I was approached to redesign their web site to look more professional, and also incorporate a CMS for uploading new-season stock to show potential clients. They requested a password-accessible area for interested wholesalers to view the entire collection as well as extra information such as product prices.

I worked alongside a sub- contractor to complete this site in Summer 2007.
